Citation: Deltalepis magna Andreev, Coates, Karatajute-Talimaa, Shelton, Cooper & Sansom, 2017: In: Database of fossil elasmobranch teeth www.shark-references.com, World Wide Web electronic publication, Version 08/2026
Description
Original diagnosis after Andreev, Coates, Karatajute-Talimaa, Shelton, Cooper & Sansom, 2017 [25326]: Deltalepis species possessing scales with deltoid to elliptic crowns divided into three to five discrete lobes by posteriorly widening grooves. Parallel tuberculate ridges developed on the undersurface of the crown. The rami of the pulp cavity formed inside the scale crown connect directly to the main pulp canal.
