Short Description
Color pattern of grey saddles separated by light areas and outlined by numerous small black spots (hatchlings have a simpler pattern of dark saddles, remarkably similar to Acanthophthalmus semicinctus) [16823].

Biology
Oviparous, paired eggs are laid. Embryos feed solely on yolk [733]. Hatches at about 10 cm [1388].
